Here’s a case where being called “strange” is a good thing. David Griner of Adweek compiled a list of the 40 Strangest Agency Names and Bonehook is on it.
Explanation: “I wanted to strip what we do down to the bare essentials,” founder David Burn tells Adweek. “We go out and fish for our dinners, in order to survive. Additionally, I was hoping to convey my love of the Pacific Northwest and native culture.”
We are keeping good company on this list. Other strangely named agencies include Big Spaceship, Taxi, Droga5, Walrus, David & Goliath, Mother, The Barbarian Group, High Wide & Handsome, Strawberry Frog, 72andsunny, and Omelet.
